Fiberglass Rod Manufacturer for Agricultural and Greenhouse Support
FIBERGLASS ROD SOLUTIONS
A fiberglass rod, also called an FRP rod or glass fiber stake, is a composite support product made from continuous glass fibers and resin through pultrusion. Compared with conventional metal stakes, it is lightweight, electrically non-conductive, resistant to moisture and corrosion, and does not rust in greenhouse or outdoor environments. Product selection should consider diameter, length, fiber content, resin type, flexural strength, tensile performance, UV resistance and surface treatment. We help buyers match these variables to crop support, greenhouse framing, vineyard, nursery or project requirements instead of treating every application as the same generic rod.
PULTRUSION MANUFACTURING
Production begins by arranging continuous glass fiber rovings and guiding them through a controlled resin impregnation system. The saturated fibers enter a heated pultrusion die, where the rod profile is formed and the resin is cured into a stable composite structure. After cooling, the rods are pulled at a controlled speed, cut to the required length and prepared for the selected surface finish and packaging. Process control focuses on fiber alignment, resin impregnation, diameter consistency, surface quality, straightness, flexural behavior and resistance to cracking or fiber exposure. Inspection requirements can be agreed according to the application and order specification.
APPLICATION SOLUTIONS
Suitable for supporting tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, beans and other climbing or fruit-bearing crops. Diameter, length, flexibility and surface grip can be selected according to crop load, planting method and outdoor exposure.
Used for small greenhouse arches, protective tunnels, insect-net supports and lightweight frame structures. Corrosion resistance and low weight make the rods practical for repeated handling in humid agricultural environments.
Designed for grapevines, young trees and orchard support systems that require moisture resistance and dependable outdoor performance. UV level, stiffness, length and installation surface can be customized for local growing conditions.
Provides lightweight support for flowers, seedlings, shrubs and nursery plants. Smooth, sanded or PVC-coated surfaces can be selected to improve appearance, grip, weather resistance or compatibility with retail garden markets.
FRP rods can also be specified for electrical insulation, lightweight structural components and selected construction uses. Resin system, mechanical performance and testing requirements should be confirmed separately for non-agricultural projects.

COOPERATION PROCESS
Share your target market, application and purchasing plan so the sales team can identify the technical and commercial information required for a suitable recommendation.
Confirm the application, diameter, length, stiffness, color, UV level, surface finish, packaging, expected quantity and any OEM or ODM requirements.
Compare suitable solid rods, coated rods or other FRP structures and select the material and specification that match performance, budget and market positioning.
Arrange available samples or a specification sample to review diameter, straightness, surface quality, flexibility, color, packaging and general suitability.
Evaluate the sample under your own planting, installation or laboratory conditions and confirm whether strength, flexibility or surface adjustments are needed before production.
Approve the final specification, quantity, packaging and shipping details, then proceed with production, inspection and order execution.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What types of fiberglass rods do you manufacture?
We manufacture pultruded fiberglass rods for agricultural, greenhouse, nursery, vineyard and selected structural applications. Common options include solid fiberglass rods, agricultural support stakes, greenhouse support rods and PVC-coated rods. Smooth, sanded and coated surfaces can be selected according to grip, appearance and outdoor exposure requirements. The recommended structure depends on load, flexibility, installation method, climate and service-life expectations. Hollow tubes or highly specialized electrical and industrial profiles require separate confirmation because their material system, tooling and performance requirements may differ from standard agricultural rods.
What diameters and lengths can I order?
Common fiberglass rod diameters range from 4 to 16 mm. Typical agricultural sizes include 4 mm for flowers, 5 mm for tomato support, 6 mm for cucumber support, 8 mm for vineyards and 10 mm for greenhouse structures. Standard lengths commonly include 0.6 m, 0.9 m, 1.2 m, 1.5 m, 1.8 m, 2 m, 2.4 m and 3 m. Longer or different specifications can be evaluated according to tooling, transport conditions, packaging and order quantity. Diameter and length should be selected together with stiffness and expected load.
Which materials, colors and surface treatments are available?
Fiberglass rods are produced from continuous glass fiber reinforcement and a resin matrix. E-glass is commonly used for agricultural and general-purpose rods, while resin options may include unsaturated polyester, epoxy or vinyl ester depending on strength, weathering, insulation and corrosion requirements. Common colors include green, white, black and yellow. Available surfaces include smooth, sanded, threaded-style grip and PVC coating. UV stabilizers and surface protection can be added for outdoor applications, but the final formulation should be matched to the climate and expected service period.
How is fiberglass rod quality evaluated?
Important quality checks include raw-material consistency, fiber content, resin impregnation, diameter tolerance, straightness, surface finish, flexural behavior, tensile performance and resistance to cracking, splitting or exposed fibers. Relevant reference methods may include ASTM D7205 or ISO 10406 for tensile testing of FRP reinforcement, ASTM D790 or ISO 14125 for flexural properties, and ASTM G154 or ISO 4892 for accelerated UV weathering. The exact test plan should be confirmed before production because agricultural stakes, greenhouse rods and industrial components do not always require identical reports or acceptance criteria.
Do you provide OEM, ODM, samples and private-label packaging?
Yes. OEM and ODM services can cover diameter, length, stiffness, resin system, color, UV stabilization, surface finish, logo labels, bundle quantity, cartons, woven bags and pallet packaging. Samples can be arranged so buyers can review dimensions, surface quality, flexibility, straightness and packaging before placing a formal order. Sample availability, minimum order quantity and production time depend on the selected diameter, length, surface treatment, tooling and packaging requirements. These details are confirmed during quotation so the proposal reflects the actual product and purchasing plan rather than a generic catalogue price.
Do you support distributors, agents and regional supply from Kenya?
We welcome cooperation with agricultural-material importers, greenhouse suppliers, garden-product distributors, project contractors and regional agents. For East African customers, selected fiberglass rod specifications may be supported through our warehouse in Kenya, subject to current stock, dimensions and order requirements. Other custom orders can be produced and shipped from China according to the confirmed manufacturing and logistics plan. Agency discussions can cover target territory, product range, packaging, market positioning and expected sales support. Buyers should provide their country, channel and annual demand plan for evaluation.
